planning- Layout

Planning - Post 2
Layout
In this part of my planning i am going to look at how fashion magazines typically layout there front cover, contents and websites, in order to give me inspiration of how i should layout mine. Also, in this post i will include two ideas of how i want my magazine to look after doing research on other types of magazines.

----------------
Front cover

Typically in fashion magazines he central image is a mid shot of the celebrity/ model, which covers a section of the masthead. Although, the side heads typically go over the central image.
The background is a plain colour and depending on the theme of the magazine depends on the colour scheme.

For my magazine i am going to pick a dark theme ( e.g. black/ grey/ white) because when you see a magazine with these colour themes it represents a more mature and elegant representation.

Website
1.

(The blue writing is the plan of what i would like to include on my website)
By picking apart Vogues website it has given me an idea and a structure of what i want to include and where i would like to place things on my website. This has aloud me to have a clearer idea of what is conventional of a fashion website and what is unique to the brand.

To compare the aspects of these magazines i am going to look at Elle magazine also, so i can have a second insight of how to design my magazine and where particular aspects should be placed. Also, i have a clearer idea of what is different to Vogue magazines which gives me a range of ideas and options for how to style parts of my page.

2.

After looking at both i have compared and been able to piece together the ideas of what i would like to do when it comes to creating my magazine.
