Casting
The purpose of this task is for me to identify the models that i am going to be using my my products. I can therefore piece together styles, looks and ideas for each of the models to make the photos look most suitable.
Location Information
The purpose of this task is for me to assess and identify the locations i am going to use for my photography. This will help me to plan out the style of my magazine and realise the theme of it will be high-end and elegant looking or have a young less mature vibe. The location of the images will determine the style and help keep a consistent theme throughout.
My visions for the locations in some of my images mainly on the contents page and website, is London. Mainly on a street view which is quite bright and white, and then on the front cover i want a black and white theme, therefore the white and bright images are remaining consistent throughout.

I would like my pictures to be taken like the image on the left and in a view similar to the image on the right. This is because i want my magazine to appeal to the AB class profile so by basing it in an area which look like the chelsea area it gives of the stereotypical view of a posh, high end, branded style/ magazine.
It is likely that my images will be taken in the chelsea area in order to get a background very alike to theses shown.
The risk/ hazard i have with taking my images in this location is that if the streets are busy or there is a lot of rubbish on the floor, for example, then it is going to be harder to take an image in which looks appealing to a person of the class i am targeting. it will also be harder for me to take a suitable image which looks professional and of a magazine worth.
For my Front cover i may consider using an image similar to the one on the left but zooming in to make is a midshot, brightening the background and using the blur tool on the background to keep it strictly to the London fashion theme.

product style profile
These designs will show the development in my plans when creating my product and how over time the plans have developed into creating a basic outline of my products.

Draft 1

Draft 2

Draft 1 and 2 is for my magazine front cover. I showed draft 1 to my peers and they gave me feedback on how i could develop my ideas. By moving aspects of the magazine around it modernises the look into how typical fashion magazines (such as 'vogue') have began to design theirs now. The second draft looks more pacts and contains a lot more content than the first draft so may give the audience the representation that the magazine is knowledgeable and contains a lot of information making the design look a bit more packed.
After looking at both the drafts and taking my feedback into consideration i am going to stick to the design/ plan of Draft 2, because i want my magazine to look reliable and worth the buy, so by making look fuller it will make the audience believe that my magazine is truthful and has a lot of knowledge.

Draft 1

Draft 2

Both of my drafts, i believe fit the conventions of a contents page in a fashion magazine. However, to fit the requirements of the courses brief and my magazine requirements i am going to uses draft 2 to base my ideas off. Therefore, i have got a minimum of two main images on the contents page, which is conventional of a fashion magazine. Also, i will be able to fit in more article information, which makes the page look more realistic because magazines consist of a lot of pictures.

Draft 1

Draft 2

After making these drafts for my website's home page i realised that a lot of fashion websites include the odd advertisements relating to either fashion or makeup. So i included this idea in my second draft after looking at other websites for inspiration. Therefore, to reach all the typical conventions of a fashion website i think it would be more suitable to follow the plan/ design of the second brief so that everything that is convention of the website is put in.
Plenary:
I found this step useful in terms of designing and deciding where i would like aspects of my magazine to be placed when coming to creating my final designs. As i am making 2 of each product i think it would be best to use both drafts of each but adapting the ones i wasn't originally going to use to make it more fitting to the conventions.
Peer feedback within this task helped me to improve my work as it meant that i was able to have others opinions on my designs and it helped me to notice the aspects that i didn't include, needed to change or make more suitable.

My Mood board
In this task I put together a more creative way of what i need to include and do when it comes to the production of my magazine and website, so when i am producing it i can tick off what i have done as i am doing it.
